The Objectives of the commitee
“To further or benefit the residents of the Parish of Ludchurch and the neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the Trustees shall have power to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects.”
Our experience and skills
Chair – Dr. Anthony Evans.
Retired G.P. with communication and organisational skills, grant applications, chairing skills including experience of chairing a rugby club for 19 years and developing a new clubhouse and grounds.
Vice-Chair – Mr. Richard Phillips
Training as a Marine Engineer Officer awarded an early command and versatility over a spectrum of engineering skills. Swift to grasp the essence of a new project or opportunity, aided by my skills as a Project/Design Manager. Erudite, creative, and concise.
Secretary – Mrs. Joanna Phillips
Diploma in office practice. I worked as a Special Needs Teacher, Assistant and classroom assistant. I was also elected to the Board of Governors. I have worked full time for Snowdrop Independent Living as an Engineering Co-ordinator. I am now involved in my own business
Minute Secretary – Mr. David Thomas
Retired County Council Chief Officer with past work in journalism and local radio. Highly skilled in communications, advertising, press/media and contacts with Council Officials.
Treasurer – Mr. Mark Lee
Retired Police officer with 30 years experience. Qualified Personal Fitness trainer. Qualified Swimming coach. Wide experience of dealing & motivating people of all ages to achieve the fitness goals. Proven ability to develop & manage a small business.
Lynette Evans
Community Councillor. Retired Senior Social Work/Court Senior Manager and CivilServant. Skills in organisations, project management, budget responsibilities, community development, working with disadvantaged groups, communications and law.
Mrs. Pamela Evans
CIPD Chartered Fellow with strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and think strategically to meet challenging business objectives. Over 20 years’ Human Resources experience ranging from recruitment assistant to director level positions.
Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas
Retired Probation Service divisional manager. Skills in local history, law, budget responsibilities, community development, working with disadvantaged groups and organisations.
